Irina and Ty had a beautiful summer wedding at the gorgeous Fox Hill Farm in Honesdale, PA. Their daughter could've stolen the show, but the love between the family would tug at anyone's heart strings. It was another hot wedding, but that didn't stop the fun. Recently I've found myself asking some uncomfortable questions like, "What does success mean to me?" or "How closely is my identity tied in with Patchwork Planning?" Things that I wouldn't normally ask myself. I mean, who wants to answer them?
After three shoots in three weeks, with other days filled with meetings, answering e-mails, phone calls and other real life things, I can finally have a break. But in this downtime, I've noticed that I'm catching myself thinking, "am I doing enough? Is there something else I should be doing?" Because this break, to me, if I'm not doing anything, am I not being as successful as I am when I'm busy?
In our area there are easily 8-10 wedding planners, and a lot more once you include central Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley. What makes us different? We want to let you know.
As a bride, I know how overwhelming it is to be e-mailing four caterers, three photographers and of course, multiple planners. As a planner, it's part of our business to be aware of others in the same industry, same field, etc. What I've come to realize is though we're all looking to book our weekends up, the ideal bride for one planner, might not be the same bride for another.
At one point every couple will think, "We should just elope!" And though elopements aren't for everyone, they are undeniably beautiful.
Back in November we joined with Kelley Spurlock to create a natural, simple styled elopement. The results are jaw-dropping and we can't wait for you to see the photos. Big thanks to Monzie's Floral for their incredible floral design, and Forget Me Not Vintage Rentals for their always stunning items.Read More
